In the centre of the historic city of bath is this famous bridge and the weir below it. It's a popular and photographed spot because if it's beautiful georgian architecture and the fact it's one of only four bridges in the world with shops across it's full span on both sides. Built in 1772 by Robert Adam, the architect was doubtless inspired by the Ponte Vecchio and the Ponte di Rialto he saw when he visited Florence and Venice.
